This simple but delicious dish is sure to be a hit at your next family or work event. Pineapple souffle is similar to bread pudding; it is a rich, sweet dish that can be served as a dessert, the typical way, or as a scrumptious side dish. Either way you spin it, you’ll be asked to bring it again and again!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups firmly packed cubed white bread (or cinnamon bread to kick it up a notch!)
  • ¾ cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 20 oz can crushed pineapple (well drained)

Equipment

  • 1 2-quart glass baking dish
  • 1 Electric hand mixer
  • 1 Manual can opener
  • 1 Measuring set
  • 1 Silicone whisk set
  • 1 Stainless steel mixing bowl set

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Slice off crusts and cut each slice of bread into cubes.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Step 3: With the mixer on, add in one egg at a time and mix thoroughly between each egg.
  4. Step 4: Stir in well-drained crushed pineapple and then gently fold bread cubes into the mixture.
  5. Step 5: Spread pineapple souffle mixture into a grease baking dish. Bake @350 uncovered for 45 minutes or until a light gold color. Serve warm.
