Soccer Warm Up # 7 Training Drill

Setup
- cones to mark off area
- cone goals (2-3yds)
- 1 ball per player
- 5-15 min
Rules & Objectives
- players dribble through all goals while accelerating and changing direction out of the goal
- players count the number of goals that they dribble through in 30 sec.
- players attempt to increase that number on future attempts
- free 20 sec. stretch
- all players dribble through and around all goals in a figure 8
- free 20 sec. stretch
- 1v1 on any goal with one player being the designated attacker for 2 minutes - (if the defender wins the ball he gives it right back)
- free 20 sec. stretch
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
