Soccer Warm Up # 13 Training Drill

Setup

  • cones to mark off area
  • 1 ball per player
  • 5 min

Rules & Objectives

  • players dribble inside playing area
  • on coach's command players dribble their ball to each of the four touchlines
  • players must trap the ball on the line before moving to the next one
  • last player to do that does 10 x push ups (squat jumps etc.)

Variations

  • specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
  • when coach calls out a player's name everybody dribbles their ball to that player who has to stop his ball dead
  • on coach's command players dribble their ball around each of the four white (blue) cones
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
