Soccer Targets in Goals # 3 Training Drill
Setup
- 3 teams
- play 4v4 inside the grid
- grid (20yds x 30yds)
- cones to mark off area
- cone goals (2-4 yds)
- pinnies
- 15-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- teams score by passing it into one of the target players
- team starts with the ball from the goal it just scored upon
- that team cannot score into that goal again until they score in the 3 remaining corners first
- losing team after 4-5 minutes switches with target players
Variations
- each team can score on two designated targets
- limit number of touches
- add neutral player on the field
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
