Soccer Sweeper Keeper w End Zone Training Drill
Setup
- 2 teams
- grid (30yds x 40yds)
- 5-7yds deep end zone
- cones to mark off area
- pinnies
- 10-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- each team defends and attacks one mini goal
- each team has a designated sweeper keeper
- teams score by dribbling into the end zone before they go 1v1 with the sweeper keeper (no defenders allowed in end zone)
- goalie must leave the end zone to become a field player when his team has possession
Variations
- add neutral player
- minimum of 2-3 touches
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
