Soccer Soft Touches Training Drill

Setup

  • cones to mark off area
  • 1 ball per player
  • 5-10 min

Rules & Objectives

  • the first player in line self passes his ball towards first line
  • next he retrieves the ball and touches it with the inside of his right and left foot as many times as
  • possible until he gets to the next line where he self passes the ball again to the next line
  • keep players moving

Variations

  • specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
  • players must perform a move instead of a self pass
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
