Soccer Scrimmage with Jokers Training Drill

Setup
- 2 teams
- grid (30yds x 40yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 2 mini goals
- pinnies
- 15-25 min
Rules & Objectives
- each team determines one “joker” who must touch the ball a minimum of 4 times before he gets rid of it
- a goal scored by a joker is awarded 2 points
- if the joker breaks the rule it is automatically a free kick for the other team
- rotate jokers
Variations
- jokers have a maximum of two touches
- vary number of jokers on each team
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
