Soccer Crossing Shooting Training Drill

Setup
- 1 goalie
- target area (7yds x 7yds)
- good supply of cones
- 1 goal
- good supply of balls
- 15-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- the passer giver makes a lofted pass diagonally across the grid to a player who is waiting in the target area
- the player in the box receives the ball and shoots on goal with his second touch
- sequence repeats now from the other side
- switch pass givers after appr. 5-10 minutes
Variations
- specify how players must shoot/pass (left or right foot, inside or laces, high or low etc.)
- the player in one box receives the pass and lays off for the player in the other box
- limit number of touches
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
