Soccer Cone Knock Down # 1 Training Drill

Setup
- groups of 5
- grid (20yds x 15yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 5-10 min
Rules & Objectives
- players on the outside of the grid pass the ball around the defender in the grid in attempt to knock down the cone with a pass
- defender attempts to prevent the cone from being knocked down
- switch defenders often
Variations
- specify how players must pass (left or right foot, inside or outside foot)
- place a ball on a flat cone as a target instead of using a tall cone
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
