Soccer Body Part Tag Training Drill

Setup
- grid (15yds x 20yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 1 ball per player
- 5-10 min
Rules & Objectives
- everybody is “it”
- each time a player tags another player on the knee he receives a point
- player with most points after 90 seonds wins
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (left or right foot, inside or outside foot etc.)
- play with 2 teams (one team are the designated taggers and the other team the runners - switch
- roles after 2 minutes and compare scores)
- players must tag the elbow, ankle or back etc.
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary

- close control of the ball at all times
- attack open space
- head up
- low center of gravity
