Soccer Back Tag Training Drill

Setup
- grid (20yds x 30yds)
- cones to mark off area
- good supply of balls
- 5-15 min
Rules & Objectives
- players dribble inside playing area
- each tagger carries a ball with his hands
- taggers apply tag by touching the runner's back with their ball
- if a dribbler gets tagged, he switches roles with the tagger
Variations
- vary number of taggers
- taggers must dribble a ball
- start game without ball for rdribblers as a warm up
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
