Soccer 1v1v1 Variation Training Drill

Setup

  • 3 teams with 2-3
  • cones to mark off area
  • cone goals (3-4yds)
  • pinnies
  • 15-25 min

Rules & Objectives

  • the coach plays in the ball
  • the players score by dribbling through their own cone goal
  • repeat sequence with a new set of players
  • the first team to reach 3 points wins

Variations

  • set a time limit for each game (i.e. 45 seconds)
  • add a neutral player
  • play 2v2v2
  • players score by passing through their own cone goal to a teammate who controls the ball
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
