Soccer Get Past The Defender # 2 Training Drill

Setup
- 5 players per station
- zones 4-5yds deep
- players dribble from the starting point with the ball to first area and try to get past the defender into the save zone
- cones to mark off area
- good supply of balls
- 10-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- next the player must now take on the second defender
- switch defenders after 2-3 minutes
Variations
- start activity with passive defenders as a warm up
- the defender is restricted to move from side to side only trying to stop the dribbling attacker
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
