Soccer Gate Race Training Drill

Setup
- 4 groups
- 2 grids (15yds x 20yds)
- good supply of cones
- cone goals (2-3yds)
- 1 ball per player
- 10-15 min
Rules & Objectives
- each group is assigned to a grid
- one player from each group dribbles through all the cone goals
- last group to have all players dribble through all cone goals does 20push ups
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, sole, left or right foot only etc.)
- 2-3 players from each group dribble through cone at the same time
- players perform a specific move on each goal line
- players make self pass through each gate
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group
