Soccer First Pass 1v1 Training Drill

Setup
- in pairs
- grid (15yds x 15yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 1 ball per pair
- 10-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- player with the ball passes to player on opposite end-line
- once pass is received both players can the grid to play 1v1 until one player dribbles across the opposite end-line
Variations
- play 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 etc.
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

- accurate passes
- weight of pass
- first touch
- close down attacker quickly
