Baseline Target Zone Challenge

This drill helps players sharpen their baseline consistency, accuracy, and footwork while adding a competitive element. By aiming for a designated target zone, players learn to keep shots deep and controlled, forcing opponents onto the defensive. The game-like scoring keeps the drill engaging for both kids and adults.

Setup

  • Two players rallying down the line on half of the court
  • Target zone marked between the service line and baseline (use cones, markers, or chalk)
  • One ball in play

Rules & Objectives

  • Players rally down the line, keeping the ball within their half of the court
  • Each shot that lands in the designated target zone scores one point
