Quick Feet Bounce Rally
This warm-up drill builds lightness, rhythm, and quick footwork by combining rallying with on-the-toes bouncing between shots. Players rally from different court positions, emphasizing staying active and balanced on their feet. By requiring multiple toe-bounces before each stroke, players learn to stay engaged, improve timing, and maintain readiness throughout the rally.
Setup
- Two players facing each other on opposite sides of the court
- Start at the service line with standard rackets and balls
- Optional: progress back to half-court and baseline
Rules & Objectives
- Players rally cooperatively from the service line using groundstrokes
- After hitting each shot, player must perform 6–8 quick toe-bounces before the next stroke
- Maintain rally rhythm while staying light on feet
- After several minutes, move back to half-court and continue the drill
- Progress all the way back to the baseline, requiring 8–10 toe-bounces between strokes
Repetition
- Run timed rounds (2–3 minutes per court position)
