King of the Court Drill
This drill is designed for younger or junior players, combining simple groundstroke play with a fun “King vs. Challenger” format. It helps introduce competition in an enjoyable way while reinforcing consistency and movement. The structured rotations keep players engaged, ensure everyone gets turns, and add excitement to practice. By keeping score, players are motivated to maintain focus and intensity throughout the game.
Setup
- Coach stands at the net to feed the first ball
- One player is designated as the King on one side of the court
- Another player begins as the Challenger on the opposite side
- Additional players wait on the sideline for their turn

- Keep score of points won by players while they are in the King’s position
Repetition
