Junior Two-Ball Feeding Drill
This drill introduces juniors to consistent forehand and backhand technique using controlled feeds. Players practice hitting one deep ball and one shorter ball in sequence, focusing on proper footwork, contact, and stroke mechanics. Variations between down-the-line and crosscourt shots help develop accuracy and adaptability.
Setup
- Student starts at the baseline
- Coach positions at the service line (alternatively at the T-line or near the student for toss feeds)
- Coach has a basket of balls ready for two-ball sequences
Rules & Objectives
- Coach feeds the first ball deep
- Player hits it down the line
- Coach feeds the second ball shorter
- Player moves forward and hits it with proper contact, also down the line

- Backhand down the line → forehand short ball down the line
- Forehand down the line → backhand short ball down the line
