Soccer Warm Up Parcours # 1 Training Drill

Setup

  • good supply of cones
  • 1 ball per player
  • 5-15 min

Rules & Objectives

  • players dribble through the course and return to the start (5 rounds)
  • on the way back on the outside of grid from 10 to 2 to 1 dribble sideways or backwards

Variations

  • specify how players must dribble (left or right foot, inside or outside foot etc.)
  • players try to catch player in front of them (if caught, player has to do 10 x squat jumps)
  • adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group

  • agility and balance
  • contact surface of foot
  • change of direction and speed
  • close control
  • soft touch
