Soccer Sit Tag Training Drill

Setup
- grid (20yds x 30yds)
- cones to mark off area
- 1 ball per player
- 5-15 min
Rules & Objectives
- regular tag game
- dribblers are safe if they sit down on their ball before being tagged
- only one dribbler is allowed to sit at a time
- if tagged players switch roles
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (left or right foot, inside or outside foot etc.)
- dribbling players are safe if they take the ball in their hands
- vary number of taggers
- taggers don't have to dribble a ball
- start game without balls as a warm up
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
