Soccer Diamond Formation Training Drill

Setup
- good supply of cones
- 1 ball per player
- 5-10 min
Rules & Objectives
- players dribble from cone to cone in the sequence as shown
- players cannot dribble around cones (to avoid collisions)
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
- players perform a specific move in front of every (second) cone
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary

- agility and balance
- contact surface of foot
- change of speed &direction
- close control
- soft touch
