Soccer Circle Run Training Drill

Setup

  • cones to mark off area
  • 1-3 balls per station
  • 5 min

Rules & Objectives

  • 5-8 players max per station
  • player with the ball starts dribbling into the middle of the circle towards another player
  • next player then accelerates towards the player with the ball, takes it over and repeats the sequence

Variations

  • specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
  • players perform a move in the middle of the circle and then dribble to next player to lay off the ball
  • player must dribble clockwise
  • players must dribble counterclockwise
  • play with 2 or more balls simultaneously
