Soccer Gate Race # 2 Training Drill

Setup
- cones to mark off area
- cone goals (2-3yds)
- 1 ball per player
- 10-20 min
Rules & Objectives
- players count the number of goals that they dribble through in 45 sec.
- players attempt to increase that number on future attempts
Variations
- specify how players must dribble (inside or outside of foot, left or right foot only etc.)
- players with most points after 3-4 rounds wins
- players dribble through and around goals in a figure eight to be awarded a point
- players dribble around both cones of a goal to be awarded a point
- players perform a specific move in front of each goal to be awarded a point
- adjust spacing depending on the age and ability of the group if necessary
